This evening I have asked about Twitter how much was recovering for a web development on Wordpress with layout (without using a predesigned staff). Thanks to all those that you have answered me for the different channels. Since some of you have asked me also to share the information, without naming, the pitchfork is between 300 € up to 1600 €. With this difference I believe that I say everything to you on how difficult it can be to estimate all that costs your work as such. But we go, for putting an average: 700/800 €.
This first paragraph performs the riskiest thing because like that we are inside the Internet world we know there are no two equal places and generalizing is practically impossible. I already see someone who is going to take to the phone and mount a crucifix because they have received a pasta from him for his web. In the last two years I have seen many other rip-offs in the stretch of “the cheap thing” than of “the expensive thing”. Excepting, logically, pages of the Public administration where the numbers are infladísimas and one sees deplorable things, still before knowing the price. Already knowing it they give him desire of going out to give shots to the most nearby town hall.
The case is that more fire to a beginner is this permanent answer of “it depends, depends, depends …” that’s why I have got wet a little more above. But the fact is that the "depende" is the most normal of the world. If we put ourselves with Wordpress even more because they allow you to mount the quantity of available plugins from something simplest up to the blog of the White House (good, although they use Drupal
On the other hand that thing about the design is to feed apart. That a good design should not cost the same that one villain seems clear but it is that if your client likes the enormous cartels of IN CONSTRUCTION and the gifs cheered up to indicate the nationality of the web: what do you do? I love the design of Hugo’s blog but to the average user the most probable thing is that it her seems tasteless: it does not have anything that blinks! Anyway that behind these lines there is no another thing than the words Asymmetric Information (that together with Moral Risk and Adverse Selection they should sting to all the economists in the room). Ultimately, only you know the real value of your work and your client will have very few idea of how much costs what he wants.
Bony, that if normally the price of a good is fixed by the offer and the demand (far from what they think 99 % of the Spanish who think that the price of a good is equivalent to what finds it hard to make it) of the ambience of the web development we are well fucked by both sides.
That’s why, for all those that you are beginning with your works of web development I recommend earnestly this magnificent post of Carlos Leopoldo:
It mixes enough methods that I have heard round there and the ideal of the multiplier for the difficulty grade seems very good to me.
